Dr. Callie Freeman was born and raised in the City of Angels (Los Angeles, California). She began her career with animals as a veterinary technician while attending college in Tallahassee, Florida. She received her Bachelors in Biology at Florida State University in 1996 and a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Florida in 2002.
Dr. Freeman began practicing at a large 24 hour practice in Miami, Florida. After a year, Dr. Freeman traveled to Philadelphia to complete a rotating small animal internship at the University of Pennsylvania. She then spent an additional year focusing on small animal surgery. Since then, Dr. Freeman has spent many years practicing emergency medicine at a top local referral hospital. Dr. Freeman has a special interest in emergency medicine and soft tissue surgery. She is also USDA accredited to perform domestic and international health certificates for travel.
Dr. Freeman lives in the area with her husband Mick, their 2 dogs (Lulu, a pitbull mix and Pixie, a French bulldog) and kitty (Minnie).
