Yvonne joined the QVAH family in 1999. She started out as one of the front desk receptionists and in 2005 accepted a position as Practice Manager. Even though she misses seeing familiar faces on a daily basis, the two-legged and four-legged kind, she finds it rewarding being able to help the practice achieve success. She supervises most areas of the hospital and is committed to excellent patient and client care. In her spare time, she enjoys catering, gardening and spending time with her husband and two beautiful little girls.
Ketana graduated from Manor Junior College as a Certified Veterinary Technician in 2007. Ketana started working at QVAH as a Technician in May 2008. Ketana is Philadelphia native. She has been in the veterinary field for several years, starting out as a Dog Groomer and Kennel Assistant. Her interests include brachycephalic dogs and macaroni art.
Born and raised in Philly, Shayna has always been interested in working with animals. Shayna has worked for over 10 years in multiple areas of the animal field. She graduated from Manor College with a degree in Veterinary Technology in 2006 & has been working at Queen Village Animal Hospital since July 2014. Shayna’s favorite aspects of veterinary medicine are anesthesia and emergency medicine. She also loves to train and mentor others in the veterinary field. Shayna shares her home with 3 cats, Dita, Tchotchke & Colonel Popcorn. When Shayna is not at work, she enjoys playing video games, reading comic books & eating at fancy restaurants with her friends.
Jaci joined the QVAH front desk team in September 2016 after a wonderful career working with animals mostly in the retail field. She graduated from W.B Saul High School, where she majored in large animal science. She then moved on to Manor College and graduated with an Associates Degree. Her love for animals knows no bounds. She shares her home with three cats, Scamper, Belle and Keeta. She has a Pekingese and silky terrier mix named Maria, and seventeen hermit crabs. In her spare time, she enjoys caring for her animals. Her interest in particular is working with rescue animals. She also loves spending time with family & friends.
Rachel has always had an interest in learning about and working with animals. She graduated from Ursinus College with a bachelor’s degree in biology before deciding to work in the veterinary field. She has been working as a veterinary technician since 2013 and joined the QVAH team in April 2017. In her free time, Rachel enjoys hiking, cooking, and traveling.
Rita joined the QVAH family in 2005. She is currently our full time surgery technician who sometimes can be found greeting clients behind the front desk. When she’s not hard at work, she enjoys visiting the local nursing home with her Chinese Crested, Sammie. She has a special interest in pediatric kitten care.
Lindsay joined the QVAH family in 2017. Originally from Lansdale, Lindsay is new to the city. The love and caring of her animal patients today is an extension of her equestrian interests from her younger years, where riding, showing and caring for horses in Montgomery County Pennsylvania was her passion. Since joining the QVAH team in June, she has quickly transitioned into the QVAH philosophy and committed to our Philadelphia clients, both pets and their owners. Lindsay has recently welcomed the role of the QVAH primary “On Call” technician which will allow her to continue to provide that much needed assistance to clients during critical off hours. In her free time, she writes fun, informative articles for a website devoted to ocean conservation. She loves visiting new spots for brunch in the city. In her spare time, she loves getting back to outdoor experiences and is an avid hiker and snow boarder.
Juliana has been in the veterinary industry since the age of 2. She could not bare the thought of cats and kittens out in the cold, so against her mothers wishes, she fostered them. Juliana has worked her way up to veterinary technician and joined the QVAH staff in September 2017. She studied at Manor Junior College in 2008 after working several jobs as a kennel assistant in a grooming salon and as a veterinary assistant at Trooper Veterinary Hospital. In her spare time, Juliana enjoys spending time with friends and cooking with family. She shares her home also with her 2 cats, Rita and Ralph.
A lifelong resident of Philadelphia, Fred joined QVAH in 2009. He prides himself on his attention to detail. While preferring to remain in the shadows, he nevertheless stands as a model of strict politesse to all who encounter him.
Also a lifelong Philadelphia resident, Nero is QVAH’s official greeter and security guard. He can be found surveilling the patients in the lobby. He also spends a lot of time trying to fit into tiny boxes for the perfect nap.
